About to press the button on a meta am v4, debating which shock to go for.
either the vip r2 or the monach, ive had no experience with neither so any information would be very handy.
cheers
In my experience the bos vip'r has the best damping of any shock, with the exception of my current Avalanche tuned Fox.
I'm not a particular fan of rockshox rear shocks - they always feel a bit dead and lifeless. The bos is supportive, uses only what travel it needs, never wallows, is never overcome by fast repeated hits; simply brilliant. However, weigh up whether this performance is worth it to you especially when you consider the traditional haphazard approach to customer service that Bos has.
I would mimic what Mildred stated above tbf, RS feels dead and the Bos if anything going on their superb forks is, then it's going to be a game changer.
Oh and am still waiting to hear back from Bos 3 weeks on regarding air pressure for a Bos Dizzy fork, so not good as their site was down and playing error codes on downloading the air chart.
Apart from that, Bos like mentioned above gets the best out of your travel and is mind blowingly sensitive which helps with small bumps and trail chatter plus the added traction of course.
Is there a uk BOS service center?
I thought is it R35 use to deal with them?
Had debated getting a fox rp23 I have push tuned, which i have got done in the past.
did see a chap with BOS forks the other day and couldn't get over the small bump sensitivity when he was just rolling along.
Loads to choose from to service Bos now advertised on PB.
Jungle are the new distributor and Stif can sort you out service wise to memory.
