Hi, changing tyres around and I noticed a wtb nano that's not had a lot of wear on it has a nasty scrape on the outside that has scraped rubber off to expose the casing. No internal damage at all and I use tubes.
I'm finding it hard to just bin it, so have glued and puncture patched the outside over the damage and put it to one side in the mean time. Yes I am that tight/skint and I'm from Yorkshire.
Not sure if I'd trust it for a bike packing trip, but maybe for local CX/gravel rides?
Worth keeping as bodged or just bin it??
If you have repaired it anyway then I don't see why you wouldn't just keep using it.
I guess I'm wondering whether that will actually work as a repair?

I've not had that sort of tyre damage before, previous tyres have been a lot tougher more rigid tyres than the nanos.
Just ride it. I used to run my commuting tyre through the carcus until pop! I carried. Bit of gaffer tape and plastic milk bottle to run as a repair until the end of the week for a tyre swap.
Have you seen the price of tyres recently !
Ride it till it dies. (then ride it a bit more)

Agreed, sounds fixed so use it.
I use old worn out tyres, cut then into “patches” and use a cheap epoxy to repair sidewalk damage (glued internally) works great 100% success rate and 100’s of miles on still airtight!
