Who knew trying to take light trail selfies with only basic kit was such a hassle?

Good results though 👆

Ok mine are from Monday, which was glorious. Nothing technical but stunning conditions and riding somewhere new to me made for a peaceful few hours.

We are out in the Peak for the weekend.
Only managed to walk this afternoon due to the wind and rain. At one point it was that strong walking the dog was like flying a kite
Forecast is for snow overnight, will decide in the morning on riding or not

Had a couple of hours work to do in Burnmouth on Thursday, so drove up Wednesday, work done by 10.30 Thursday morning, 3 laps of Kung Flu at Penmanshiel before the 430 mile drive home back to Bournemouth.

Snow here too. I didn't wander up the ski road today but the drifts should be worth a gander if it doesn't all melt by the start of next week.

Awesome photo

Cheers. Seemed like a standard bike in a snow drift shot…
Wish I could work out how to put pictures actually in the posts on this forum

Pretty lazy week/weekend for us so far.
Rode over to Yair and did a bit of trail maintenance on Tuesday.
Late start today for a bit of a tootle around GT.

Loads of trees down blocking a lot of the trails and a few of the fireroads.
Managed to get up and do a few bits here and there.
Spoke to some lads that said hush hush has been totally destroyed with trees down. 😒

What a difference (less than) a week makes. I work Saturday and Sunday, so my 'weekend' is Monday and Tuesday, and I popped down to Somerset. Does that count?

Well, we knew there would be trees down but didn’t think it would be this bad. The local trails are utterly decimated, huge numbers of trees blocking pretty much every trail:

We sacked off the riding in the Peak for the third day running and once again opted for all day out walking.
We walked some of the trails we would have riden and it was the right choice

Didn't see anyone out on a bike

Went out looking for snow and got a bit more than I was expecting as two hour unforecast snow storm filled most of my ride. Took my bike for a lovely walk 😂

Kids rode up the hill to the snow. I spent Sat. setting up greaser #2's new splitty:

It's nearly touring season!
