Everyone, look! Remember the XLS? Well, we have increased the price by £100. Buy one today.
I'm now leaning towards a Chinese plastic thing but with 11-speed

I noticed that. I guess it's one of their algorithms in action, as demand will be increasing with cx season approaching.

Not really bizarre, as they can charge what they like. Although, I'm surprised it wasn't accompanied by a specs change like 11 speed 105 or something.

But hasn't the Dirty Disco dropped in price..?

(I suspect I may well be wrong - been looking at so many bikes of late...)

Was looking at the sportscrafter rollers the other day after a mailshot. Were £99.99 from some massive rrp. Now gone up to £149.99. Bet they will back down to £99.99 in a few weeks.

It's a bike company prices go up eventually, most bike brands increase their model prices every year. If the costs stay the same the prices don't change, if supplier, component and shipping costs go up rrp has to follow.

Yes the prices on the rollers have returned to the typical selling price they were at earlier, still below msrp though. If you like the look of a deal best not to ignore it and wait until it's over...

Sounds like they have changed the fork on the XLS- they had an ali steerer in the past. I'm not sure how recently that happened, but perhaps on reason for a price rise.

[non-confrontational]

Where does it say that?

Where does it say that?

The current listing says "full carbon monocoque frame and forks" the fork had an aluminium steerer in the past.

I quite fancy one of those alloy RT-58, I just don't want to wait for it to be built and then told it will be delayed.

Edit:

And oh look those vulgar on one t shirts with rude "drawings" are heavily discounted.

Hopefully SQ. can clarify.

It's not bizarre. The established pattern is:

Move warehouse.
SALE! Forks! 50% off RRP (RRP correct as of 06.08.2041)
Special edition based on overstock of one colour of bar tape/saddle.
FLASH SALE on 6 finger gloves, 102.3mm bcd chainrings and 28.56mm seat clamps.
Send promotional email by mistake 2 times. Send apology email 3 times.
Employ Brant/Dis-employ Brant (this one also depends on the lunar cycle)
Yellow....add lots of yellow.
SALE! - The _____ season has started/enduro, ____ now only 110%!

Repeat.

I have one of the early Hawaiian shirts, I wonder what would happen if I wore it to work?
