[Closed] Bikepack/Bivi - bags for under the saddle

I currently use a Sea to Summit dry compression bag for my sleeping bag and strap it under my saddle, but its a right faff with seperate straps and doesn't sit very well.

Has anybody come across a proper bag for this purpose? There was a pic of one on the back of a bike in the Alpkit feature in the last mag, but it doesn't seem to be an Alpkit product - they only do frame bags (it might have been a gourdon strapped on like I do at present).

Its to take a Skyehigh 600 sleeping bag.

Lots of love for Carradice saddlebags there, I've got a Nelson and a SQR seatpost rack , its one of the best bits of kit I've bought for my bike!

Wildcat Tiger is superb - had a Bikepack.eu which was good but the Tiger is much more stable

stevemorg2 that is good news. I have been considering one for commuting. Dont fancy a rack/pannier and like the idea of being able to quickly remove the drybag and if necessary remove the sling.

what size of drybag do you use stevemorg2?

I've used it with a 10l drysac which was fine (though I wouldn't go any bigger) - 5 - 8l is ideal

cheers, I think the medium is more than large enough.

I don't have a great deal of seatpost showing, due to having 'ickle' legs ๐Ÿ™

Alpkit give instructions on how to turn one of their dry bags into a bikepack if you're on a budget:

I've got a bikepack.eu bag which I'm very happy with - it's a large (12l) and if fully loaded I use an extra strap to provide further stability.
