BikeInn service??

I tried to get hold of a spacific gravel tyre back in April and it was out of stock everywhere here so ended up ordering from BikeInn - said in stock on their website.
Anyhow, when I got the order confirmation, it said delivery 9th-12th May, which was a bit disappointing as the bike is out of action without it, but hey ho my fault for wanting something specific.
Nothing arrived.
18th May I get another email, interestingly showing an 18th May order date (!) and saying the tyre had been shipped on a 48 hour service and forwarding tracking links.
Still no tyre and the tracking links simply say "we're expecting your consignment" - so it looks like it's not actually been shipped.
I contacted them today and just got "you'll have to wait" as the response - pretty bad experience all round tbh.
Grrrrr - never again, but has anyone here had the same experience?

I've used the ***INN company a few times. They're never the quickest but I've not had any problems.

Shipped on 18th with a 48 hour delivery target - I'd be thinking tomorrow at the earliest given a weekend and any possible Brexit transport delays.

There was another similar thread recently. My experience is that they claim to have stock when they don’t. Personally, I won’t use them again.

They normally do have stock, it’s just that stock might be in a warehouse on the other side of Europe. Would explain why the courier hasn’t had it yet too, if they’re moving it around between warehouses internally.

Have ordered plenty, and will again, just not for anything I need quickly. As no one else has stock, it’s not like you can get it any quicker.

I hear you @tomhoward - I shouldn't have been so picky as I wanted one to match the front (Pirelli Cinturato M in the tanwall version) - could have easily got something similar from another brand - ah well, the bike will look smart when I get it on there but main thing is I'll be able to use it again!
