Ordered some forks off bike24.net subsequently received an email from them asking for photo of the payment card, with all but last four numbers blacked out
Says there payment provider asks for this to prevent fraud (as it shows you physically have the card)
Given the numbers would be blacked out, I can't see any issues - but it doesn't feel right
Quick bit of googling suggests shops on the continent do this, anyone had similar?

I had to do the same with my yeti from alltricks
Thanks Mosey, bit more googling throws up lots of instances of shops doing this. Just taken photo with all details except name and last 4 digits blacked out, really can't see any issues (but finger is hovering over the send button!)
All I can say in my case is I was asked, I rang them to confirm, I sent the pic and haven't had any problems.
I asked in here too and got plenty of responses saying the same thing.
