So my lbs invites us all out for a ride,, Not only do they not provide the snacks, indeed they scavenge snacks off the rest of us ( its a good job I had enough food for two)

But when we get to the pub apparently its "not their round" " we bought the last pint"

Now in my book if the LBS invites you to go for " a bike ride" and to " go to the pub" the LBS should bring the snacks and buy the beer.

I mean - its only fair is it not

Name and shame. Haven't participated in a good old STW witch-hunt for a while now.

Oh... I know who you're talking 'bout!

Would that be the shop that lent you a light for the strathpuffer ?.

I thought this thread was going to be about the lack of choice.

Some bike shops I've wondered into recently, either didn't have much stock/items for sale, or just a wall full of BBB parts.

Buying the drinks every time might be classed as grooming!!!

Depends whether they're mates or your shop rides are 'business development/marketing' for the shop. When I ride out from my LBS I figure that buying the odd pint when it's my turn is fair exchange for all the favours they do me and the good company.

Downie's stealth marketing is legendary.

I don't go on these rides because I know if I did he'd have me for a dura-ace ti cross frame eventually.
