If I read the rules right you don't pay duty or VAT when importing stuff from Europe.
Was thinking of a frame from Italy.
Anyone with experience like to confirm?
Cheers
Yes it's teh law.
not quite true,
you do pay Vat but it is to the Italian government. One of the rules of the EU,
So effectively if you are buying from Italy, it the price given is inclusive of VAT (or whatever the Italian government calls it) that plus delivery is all you will pay. There are no duties or Charges to pay when it arrives.
Within the EU you pay the seller's VAT (unless the buyer is VAT-registered), and no import duty.
Great, just need to check if the price is inclusive of Italian VAT.
Cheers
Its called IVA in Italy charged at 20%
Like the UK prices are nclusive of IVA to the end consumer so should be included in your frame price.
What frame are you buying?
