Hi,

Me and few mates are going riding this weekend at Nant yr Arian and Machynlleth. Unfortunately one of the guys has got bike issues which means he may well need to hire a bike. Does anyone know of any bike hire places that are close by to either of these trails and are open all weekend?

Summit in Aberystwyth or Holey Grail in Mach' should be able to sort you out. Both owned by the same guy and fairly sure they hire out, or used to anyway.
Otherwise try CRAFT in Aberystwyth, no idea what their hire bikes are right now though.

Times may appear to have changed, no mention on their websites.
Ring Summit anyway, the guys in there are real helpful and if they don't they know who does.

Timber, Tegid now also runs the shop at CYB. Pretty sure he does hire from there, which may help the OP.

They have test bikes at the Holey Trail.
He could use the opportunity to test something different to his own bike.
Or there's hire bikes at CYB.

Yeah we were trying to avoid having to go north as we'd probably end up riding at CYB and we're mainly after new trail experiences. Think I'll do some phoning in the morning.

summit in aber the best for hire.. but go into holeygrail in mach and they'll tell u the short cut to the top of the best bits at mach.. 20 mins ride backto top. Great pub in Corris village nearby. we stayed at the bunkroom, cheap, bar n kitchen for all

Yeah thats where we're staying. Looks like holey trail or summit are our best bets.
