Taking a few mates biking, so we'll be needing a few bikes. Does anyone know if there are hire shops around Ullswater area?
I've heard they hire bikes at St. Patrick's Boat landing but are they decent?

Not that I've heard of/seen. Best bet is one of the Keswick shops, or Whinlatter, or even Ambleside, and driving back round.

I spotted a bike hire place in Pooley Bridge last week, no idea what the bikes are like though.
