Decided to get a proper xc bike for my cyclescheme bike, got it down to a few suggestions.

Boardman Pro HT, Iron Horse Bootleg 2.0 (crc sale) and either the genius ultra or genius squadra (again from crc).

Any thoughts or alternatives would be appreciated.

Best check that you can get those discounts on your B2W scheme

You need to know where you can shop (ie. which scheme your employer uses) before people will able to offer much in the way of help. Also you can pretty much forget sale prices - you need to look at RRP's.

FWIW my choices would be;

Boardman Pro if you can shop at Halfords
or
Cube LTD Team (£949) or even better, if the shop will offer a tiny discount or let you top up a tad, a Cube LTD Race (£1039). (I recently managed to get a Cube LTD Race and very nice it is too).

Rootes1, yes, you cynical so and so, I will use it for work, there is an road/off road route to my work, so an xc race type bike would be ideal, I have a cross, but find it very uncomfortable on the drops.

Anyway, can't do the boardman, those genius bikes look cool, fox forks on a £800 bike? Also considering the charge duster 8, which wiggle have for under £999.99.

Cubes look nice.
