Hello,

I came across these fellas:

https://www.dirt-bag.co.uk/

Seems like a great solution for putting bikes in cars. Has anyone used one, or an alternative?

Seems their site hasn't been updated for a while, will shoot them a message first to check they're still in business!

Cheers

It doesn't seal the bike fully inside the bag so your still going to get the car dirty and/or wet.

The old Duffbag Monster Bikebag was great. I used that before i had the van and it fully enclosed the bike. Sadly they're long gone (with everyone's money!) but a version like that would be much better

I use a 1 ton builders bag.
They are a tenner at Screwfix or you just find them lying about

I use an Evoc one, find it very good - bars still stick out the top but everything else is well covered up.

Old bed sheets? Car is a car innit, it's going to get mucky if you stick a bike in it.

+1 for a builders bag.
Just open it up at the boot entrance then shove your bike in.

EDIT: in true STW style I answered THEN clicked on the link in the OP.
£30!!!! Defo get a builders bag...or maybe even 2.

Hippo mega bag, cut one end so it flaps down, place in boot, then put the bike in and then fold the flap up (the flap makes it easier to get the bike in and protects the bumper) then fold the bag in on itself to stop any mud coming out

Or the other option is to place the bag on the floor, put bike in bag then using the handles place the bag in the boot

Think i paid £5 for mine in a Wickes sale
