get a car dash mount & bodge it ?

or even a flippy open leatherette case that has retaining clips. zip-tie it to the bars (open) and might even offer some shock absorption

I do rather worry about mounting phones on a bike. Unless there was a "proper" bike mount, I'd always feel very nervy about it leaping out! Not to mention the rain side of things.

The only JesusPhone bike mounts I've seen have been very, very shoddy efforts to say the least.

Perhaps there's a market there for someone to make a "proper" one.

I use a RAM aqua box which I have for using on my motorbike. I then just added the handlebar adapter

Pricey for just a bike though

Been looking for one for a while (for a Jesus phone) and I've not yet found anything I'd trust to be sturdy, shock resistant and waterproof.

This one is the best contender I've found so far (iPhone but I think they do other phones):

But the 4 1-star reviews put me off!

I'm very happy with this from Ultimate Mobiles.

Tried the Boxit system 1st, but it was shite. The mount broke on the 1st descent, spilling the 'phone to the deck. Boxit then refused me a refund

Ended up buying one of these. I figured I can trim the strap and wrap it round my stem. Probably stick some velcro pads on there too to stop it moving. Bodgetastic 🙂
