I'm trying to create a full sus for as little as possible. I've currently got an '06 Kona Kula which has seen very little use. Would the Marzocchi Fondo Race 1 100mm fork off the Kona fit and be ok to ride on a '09 Iron Horse MK3 frame? Any other advice welcome.

Using bits directly off an '06 Kona kula. Cost me about £300 ish with new drive chain and gears and stuff. So it is doable pretty cheap!

The fork would fit, but wouldn't get the best from the frames potential performance IMO. It sold with 130/140mm forks, so really that's what you need to complement the 5" rear travel. A set of 120/130mm Tora or even better Recon's would be a better bet. A quick scan of the classifieds suggests you could get either from £50-100
