Long story short is that my bike is bust. The LBS have been great and communicated with the European distributor for me. Europe have said that the issue is covered by the warranty - sounds great. I bought the bike in Canada and as such, Europe have said that North America need to do the replacement. Again sounds okay.
The only problem is that I am apparently responsible for shipping the frame to and fron Canada. Priced it this morning and it will be the best part of £130 each way.
Has anyone been through this or similar - what options are there to try to make the company see sense? It seems a bit like the old "Computer says no" gag.
them's the brakes if you buy outside the uk
Bought from outside the UK you have no rights under SOGA and any warranty is discretionary from the manufacturer
You got it cheap but that's the inherent risk.
£130 seems steep tho.
