Hi STW hive mind.
I am after a tough/thin/waterproof bag to put in a 29er in a hotel room.
It's not flying in the bag so I am not after heaps of protection.
I was thinking of wheels off, frame and wheels in the bag with old yoga mats between the frame and wheels.

What do you use and or recommend. Thanks Wally.

Sounds like one of those CTC bike bags you used to be able to get from Wiggle for about £6.

I used mine for flying (*).

(*) Putting the bike in the bag that is. I don't literally jump off tall buildings using it as a wing. But I guess it's big enough that could also work.

I never used to use a bag in hotels. I'd just wheel it in, never had an issue.

As above CTC bag, or my current favourite, a mattress bag (used when moving)

How thin ?. There are dustbin liners that are absolutely gigantic available in most supermarkets.

240ltr size and disposable so if you need to use it a 2nd night, no risk of any previous mud soiling the carpet. A couple of those.

Have a search for bike sick in ebay. Not sure they are waterproof though.

Dexter recommends heavy duty polythene and duct tape but frankly a hotel room is a bit, erm, advanced, for a first try.

A new wool sack. They're perfect. You do need to know a farmer though, and not tell the British Wool Marketing Board.
