Any thoughts on the above kit? It's incredibly lightweight, perfect for bikepacking, but I have worries that it will stand up to lashing rain, particularly of the Scottish variety.

Anything better for the money? Budget is £250 tops unless it comes with a teasmade... that would of course make all the difference...

Cheers.

I had one. It was good if the weather was warm. If it was cold and windy, the mostly midge net inner didn't keep any warmth in.

Roomy.

No problems with condensation.

Sturdy enough in winds.

I've got an Sl2. It's fantastic for one, loads of room and very light. It's big enough for two but I like my space on extended trips. Quite good at shedding wind and watertight. As with all mesh (American) tents, it'll be chilly in a UK winter as it gets a bit drafty. Up bag slightly and you'll be OK. I had a mesh innered Tadpole that was a bit chilly, since swapped it for a fabric inner one (warranty). I haven't used my Seedhouse In a UK winter but I can't imagine it will be much difference to the Taddy. BTW, they are fantastic in the hot environments they were designed for so if that's in your plans, chop chop. ?
