Hiding in a bunch of dangling wet leaves was something a bit more solid. Luckily my other glasses took the imapact and saved my eye. I still ended up with deep punctures, even some inside my ear. 😯
I got funny looks in Sainsbury's buying my lunch.

jeez.
I have also had a bizarre off moment where a pedal struck a stump buried at the side of the trail, in grass - catapulted me towards a tree on the other side, one of those broken off branches went into my ear.. cue a lot of blood and trip to A&E..

I tried to go round a bramble it got caught across the back of my jersey and sleeve, when I got to as far as the bramble wanted me to go it dragged me backwards off of my bike, even clipped in....only my pride was hurt...
