As above - us van owners get stung for insurance because a business van costs more to insure. But what about us bikers who have a van, only using it for social, domestic, pleasure? Any specific companies deal with us? I saw that Morethan do a policy specific for non businiss vans, any others??
My Kangoo and Vito were insured through Direct Line as a private user and they were pretty cheap.
cheapest i found were staveley head for my connect

I went with E-van via compare the market - £700 fully comp, for a £25K van 3L v6, parked on the road and I only have 2 years no claims
all my other quotes were at least £400 more
If it's not modified then Direct Line etc but if you've done anything then someone like HIC. Got mine through them.
Try NFU (national farmers union, you have to call them the web doesn't work, prices as good as anyone's and great service or also CIS. Both do vans on private car policies.
NFU Mutual - cheapest by far for me and great service from the local office.
