Balblair is fantastic- great riding but also something really different from the average trailcentre. Wee bit short though. Lots of mini-moabs, it's all about the rock features. Honestly prefer it to Golspie (though both are mint)

Learnie is just down the road but it's a bit of a miss IMO, it's got some really nice bits including an excellent jump line and some really nice rocks, but it lost a big black section to forestry work a while back and the waymarking in the remaining black is bloody awful (I found myself riding up a red descent at one point, and arrived at a 5-way unsigned junction... It could be there's more great stuff there that I missed, for that reason). On the plus side, you can squeeze in a wee ferry trip to get there, everyone likes a boat ride.

No doubt there's tons of good natural riding, and Laggan is within reasonable striking distance too.

I just moved up near Inverness a couple of weeks ago so still loads to discover but I've enjoyed contin a couple of times and there seems to be loads of natural trails in almost every wood that I pass!

Might have to settle for Torridon then - I hear that's a good TC ๐Ÿ˜‰
