I'm after a road bike (pref Steel) and a collegue wants a mountain bike.
What's looking good at the moment?
Up to a grand, the Boardman's (road + MTB) are very well specced, and seem to get good reviews. However, prepare yourself for the snobs and armchair critics.
I think Paul's cycles are back on the cycle scheme, and they have some decent MTB bargains.
Boardman offer incredible value for money and are priced at the C2W £1k limit.
Can't go wrong.
(but I don't think they do a steel road bike)
I did B2W last year and topped up the grand to buy a Core 50 Genesis and have been delighted with it, from Evans B2W scheme
Genesis day one Alfine is looking pretty good for £999. Am I allowed to suggest cx?
