I think you're going to have to watch the weather and play it accordingly.

Longridge was crispy underfoot a few days ago but new snow and freezing due before weekend. Does benefit from some tree cover though.

Darwen Tower was crispy and well trodden at new year. Lots of new snow over there yesterday/today though.
Rivi = probably similar.

Not heard anything from Gisburn Forrest but don't expect it to be much fun getting there even if it was ridable.

Would like to get a Wed night ride in and Longridge is probably most likely for me (i.e. local)

Any news from other locals?

I'm not too far away from you, and I've given up thinking about the bike at present. Fairfield Horseshoe on Saturday; ice axe and crampons etc.

Whereabouts in Coppull are you? My grandparents ran The Springfield many years ago, then moved to British Legion across the way. Are they both still trading?

whereabouts just outside of Coppull neil853 are you?

I'm from that village and TBH it was a bloody nightmare getting to work this morning.

There are plenty of cheeky FP's around if you don't mind using them.

Try over Chisnall (Coppull moor) or down to Wigan road (Ellerbeck) that one is a Bridleway.

Jenga I live down Springfield Road, and yip the legion and Springy are still going.

The wagon and horses pub on Chapel lane has just been demolished though and some new house built

Yup get some crampons and an ice axe and get up to the Lakes. Not worth going biking at the moment imo.

just near the co-op vortex. Just moved before christmas and then it snowed, and snowed, and snowed! An hour and half to Preston this morning!
