looking for a new set of E4’s (in good plain old black).
had been hanging on for Merlin points to kick in but they’ve just gone up £10 and end negating any savings... (£149).
anybody recommend a suitable retailer?
I paid £340 for F&R E4s with 180 floating discs and adaptors from uykb couple of days ago. They are 125 each just for the brakes.
yeah ukbyk is where I got my tech 4s. not worth it though...
*shots fired*
I checked stock first via email. Not bothered about waiting.
Sorry, I take it an advertised price but not in stock outfit?
how long do they take? Don’t need them until March earliest...
Said a couple of days. For my sons bike so not bothered about the wait lol. Email and ask. They got back to me in within a couple of hours. They didn't have the colour I wanted.
notice Winstanleys have braided hose for pretty much same price... any experiences?
google mixed....
Had braided hoses on the old M4 units. Not worth the hassle of cutting tbh
If you're located in Surrey - Freeborn Cycles in Horsham do a good deal on these - got mine there.
Surrey? Nah, the frozen north.
ah, never thought about the cutting... good point!
Rush?
Ask your LBS. Mine got mine for £100 an end for me.
Who was that officerfriendly? I work in a shop and to us on staff pricing they're more than that.
Wow, that is surprising. Sorry, wouldn't feel right disclosing that, they might have a go at me!
Got my black e4's with braided hoses for £112 an end from cycle surgery a few months ago...not sure of stocking now though.

A Dremel fitted with a cutting disc will go straight through the braided hoses. It even leaves the end nice and round, so you don't even need open the end up, like you would with cutters.
That's mine shipped out
Winstanleys - looked at ubyk but got the same deal but with 203mm and 183mm rotors along with the right mounts for my bike - £345 all in
Also, quick delivery
sweet
Got them on the cycle to work scheme. Higher tax payer so decent discount.
Paid £125 an end just before Xmas at Winstanley. Orange flavour, though.
