They are all about the same when it comes to careful handling or losing it with or without insurance. Make sure it is very well packed and tape a couple of extra boxes to the outside makes it less likely to be put at the bottom.
How far is it going?

No idea on couriers, but I would make sure there's loads of free bits, beer, chocolate and other good stuff in the box.
