Looking to see if anyone has experience of the route below. Done the alternative torridon circuit last year and looking for a broadly similar route to do in May. We are all experienced black / off piste riders on 160 bikes, any help or advice would be appreciated.
No. Just no.
Strath Nethy is no place to take a bicycle.
The more common option is to head across to the head of Glen Derry, cross at the Ford of Avon and climb/descend the track over Bynack Mor.
What he said vague memories of several hours pushing and rarely a moment on the bike.
Scotroutes speaks the truth. No no no to Strath Nethy. I think it is the Gaelic for despair. I did it for the mag round about issue 54. I went back the next week and did Scotroutes route via Cairngorm. Far better! Trust me. I love hike a bike but it was over two hours of disappointment.
