Bolide looks the same that was used in TdF, etc though.
I wonder if they're trying to suggest that some of that is the top tube profile.
You'd think it would have to be measured in the direction of travel though.
When I do a search about it, all I find is people talking about that brake fairing.
Has the little UCI approved sticker on the seat tube ๐
Does all seem a bit random though, they seem a lot more relaxed about what they approve these days.
Interesting to note the lower position at the recent 10 than that pic from the worlds - guess it was a shorter TT.
Looks like he's had his torso surgically shortened!nemesis - MemberInteresting to note the lower position at the recent 10 than that pic from the worlds - guess it was a shorter TT.
Could be. All a power / aero / sustainability trade off so stands to reason it's going to be different between a 18 min and hour long effort, what with marginal gains and all that. Not seen him TT in anything other than a bambino for a while either.
The aero bars are significantly lower. Hurts my back just looking at it!Interesting to note the lower position at the recent 10 than that pic from the worlds
the worlds was a longer, hillier course so he probably sacificied a shade less aero for a shade more power
it (or whatever he did) worked cos he now has a stripy jumper ๐

Why would you film that?
This isn't a serious question, is it?
Probably a once in a lifetime chance to race in close proximity (albiet briefly) to a legend like Wiggo, wouldn't anybody want it on film for posterity?
As it happens I know Andy Birdsall, I've ridden with him a couple of times with a local road club, Tickhill Velo, nice chap and good for him on his 5 mins of fame.

Well spotted - looks like less spacers between the tri-bars and base bar to me. I'd have thought he'd be riding this in his hour record position, which is what he's presumably spending all his time training in at the moment. More to do with the lack of hills than duration in that case - and possibly because he's had a longer block of training specifically for riding in TT position now than he had before the worlds.
