I've just flogged a bike and some parts I didn't need to get a winter commuter (well, just a commuter as the weather is awful half the time at the moment). Given I can't get a Boardman CX Team over in Europe, I've decided on a Cannondale Caadx 105 disc. I wanted a Canyon but they're out of stock until September ("at the earliest"). Here's the wishlist:
105 groupset minimum
disc brakes
mudguard/rack mounts
ideally a carbon fork
preferably something a local dealer handles so I can get parts (I live in Luxembourg)
The caadx is about right in terms of price (1000 quid or thereabouts from my LBS) but are there any bikes out there I should consider?
Quick bump
Had one of the non-disc versions, cracking bike, replaced the wheels pretty soon with DT Swiss hubs on Open pros but apart from that bang on.
The frames are pretty stiff so run a biggish tyre for commuting, it damn near rattled my teeth out when I ran it with 25c's but rode lovely with 32c's.
the 2015 comes with 35c tyres luckily
