Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a 6803 and 61803 bearing? Dimensions appear to be identical.

No difference. Interchangeable name on those.

In which case, if anyone is interested, it is cheaper to buy rear bearings for a Hope Pro 2 Evo (2 x S61903, 2 x S6803/S61803 & 1 x S17287) separately from UK Bikestore than it is to buy the full kit from them.
