Sorry to report the byway from Charmy Down to Northend (the fun steep technical one) is having the Pipehouse treatment. All the top section is now a 2m wide gravel track and they're in the process of filling the sunken lane at the bottom with about 2m depth of rocks.

What! Haven't ridden Pipehouse Lane in nearly 20 years and it has been ruined! And now Charmy Northend too. Bad news indeed.
