Just need to fit the gear cables and get an adaptor for the front brake, as ever its worked out more than expected, but for £425 its got a pretty good spec (would have been ace in 2005!)
A combination of misfortune and evolution meant i had the M4's on an XC race hardtail, but the £425 for the new build did include a set of LX brakes to put on the XC bike and would have still slowed this down quite nicely.
Very nice but what is teh zip tie at the bottom of the fork about?
Stopping the caliper from dangling, I dont have the adaptor for it yet.. Coming in this week, then I will tidy the brake hose too.
(would have been ace in 2005!)
I think in the real world out on the trail it still will be. Looks like a lot of fun .......enjoy.
Xmas 2015 is gonna be a cracker when that tree grows up.
Looks ace for the money. Gonna need some proper rubber though if you want to get the best out of it
Thanks lads, you right on the rubber, the tyres on it should be fine for a few local rides to play about with setup, they look a decent allrounder sort of tread pattern, but will get some High Rollers or something for the Alps trip...
Looks smart Tinsy. Never been sure about the sliver of metal you insist on using as a saddle on all of your bikes.
I'll look forward to still being significantly faster than you down the trails!
5 years - not much different, I'll bet its just as good as anything else out there of similar modern spec. Good buy.
CG I felt sure I had a Charge Spoon hanging about, but may have sold it doh. Will take you over to Warley show you the good stuff, probably wont be this weekend though, as baby Jimmy needs his dad about at the moment.
Cheers toys19, its got a lot of decent stuff on it, Saint wheelset with 719 tubless rims, a hotch potch of shifting with deore shifters, sram frt mech and XTR rear, Hone cranks, Manipoo sherman flick forks, Kona DH bars and stem, truvative carbon seatpost, all rock solid kit and in good but used condition.. Even the vanilla R coil feels nice.
. . . . can I have it back? 😉
You don't hang about . . .
Looks great, good to know this Bike is heading back to the Alps for another crack.
Whereabout are you going?
All the best
Keith
Morzine... looking forward to it, wanted to get it built early so I have time to fettle it to death!!
Really pleased with the frame, thanks. 🙂
I like the look of that a lot!!!
Tinsy, I have a Spech saddle (brand new) or an SDG Ti railed one knocking about if you want something a little less "Jey" for your mini DH beast.
All it needs now is a chain device and a dropper seat post and you're good to go!
Have you weighed it yet?
Looks spot on that does, and for the money you can't go wrong, bargain.
Make sure you do it some justice out in the alps 😉
We're out in morzine first week in july, canna wait!
That looks a giggle. Enjoy.
mint!
devinci make some great bikes. well underrated in this country.
hope the forks are ok.
CG, thanks for that,I slipped the racey saddle on cos it was grey if I am honest! You about sat morn for a blast I will take this around the local loop for a shake down.. As for weight lts just say its big boned, but not weighed it yet.
Van Halen, forks feel about right and are in good condition so thanks for that. I never did ask what spring was fitted, I guess its the medium?
Roll on summer so I can go Plenny bashing.. 🙂
Am on moving duty Saturday so ride would have to be Sunday morn if that works 🙁
Has Eric got your front brake mount yet then?
