Anyone got any top tips to remove old bar tape?

I reckon whoever fitted my drops ironed it on or something....most of the tape has come off but left most of the foam backing behind.

Halfords do something in a yellow can that smells nice and is designed to remove stickers. That in conjunction with an old credit card works well, but it's still a right ball ache. Have fun...! 🙂

I made the mistake of starting to take it off earlier while I was in the middle of cooking dinner thinking it would be a 5 minute job.... bits of shredded tape everywhere now and bike looks a complete mess 😯

Ah well.... its still more entertaining than the football....

WD40 is a good solvent for old glue. Joust coat it liberally and allo it to soak for a while.
