While planning a potential loop around Bisley, I noticed on strava a lot of Enduro segments from 2016 in the wood back of Sheepscombe , Cotswold. Are those tracks still around and should i make a detour to sample them?

Thanks!

I think you mean Piper's wood, Beechwood and forestry around Ebworth? The enduro segments from 2016 near sheepscombe are on national trust property (Ebworth), Mean and Dirty events ran the enduro and a regular summer and winter xc races there. But everyone had strict instructions not to ride the off piste stuff when not racing. Typically as a result of people ignoreing this, the races got cancelled and the nat trust didn't allow the races to continue on the land.

All of the enduro tracks have had logs across for a number of years now and are very difficult to find overgrown and haven't been ridden in years. There's is a dedicated horse and MTB trail through the woods but its fire road and cirtainly not technical.

The tracks through Cranham woods (a bit further up from sheepscombe) are still there though. Although some have recently been removed due to proximity of the Cotswolds way and people building rather large feature's in plain view. But these are cirtainly worth a visit.
