I'm looking at changing my front brake from a formula oro to a avid elixir r at present i have 180mm centrelock xtr rotor on but the avid saids it fits an 185mm rotor. I want to keep the xtr rotor on so would the 5mm difference still work ok or would the rotor not be getting stopped in the right place.

An adapter will be much cheaper than an Avid Centrelock rotor mind.....

your not kidding £50 for a rotor is a joke.
looks like its the adaptor unless anyone has a cheap avid centrelock for sale
