No Mega for me this year, but I'm hoping I will be well enough to do some of the Avalanche Enduro events here in the UK. Did the Kielder one this year and it was great fun. Looks to be another UK one as well as Ae and Kielder this year as well, wonder where it will be - they have done them in Glentress before I think.

I've had a look at the website and watched a few clips and it seems to be fairly serious, some pro riders etc. Is it also suitable for the likes of me - without a sponser and have only entered a couple of non serious enduros? It sounds good fun, exactly what I'm into but can anyone offer any advice?

Yes anyone is welcome to enter, the majority of the riders are amateur, there is no Kielder this year just Ae forest and unfortunately the entries are full, not sure if they have a reserve list though.

@anderwho - there was a full range of riders at Kielder last year, there were a few pros but the vast majority were everyday riders of varing abilities. It was a well organised fun event.
I've entered the AE one in May.

@ansdy - those dates were put out then changed, there isn't an Avalanche event at Kielder this year.

EDIT Clive beat me to it.

Thanks, the videos make it seem a bit pro.

I've just entered, there are still places available. Looking forward to it
