I'm travelling down from the lakes next week and spending a few days near Bath and calling in at Cannock Chase on the way.
Is it worth making a slight diversion and going to Ashton Court nr Bristol as well and if yes what should I expect?

Im sure a local can point you to all the good stuff, but as a visitor sticking to the obvious trails, I found it a bit uninspiring for a planned day out
edit. The new leigh woods stuff was ace, mind. Someone pointed us to "Picnic bench trail" which was cool as well

The Bristol trails are great for local blast after work but if you are going to be near Bath I'd recommend the Mendips. Park at the Swan in Rowberrow go from there.
