I have to say i was utterly appalled at the populist flame fanning on the today programme today. The clear inference was that cyclists failing to obey the rules of the road was responsible for the 5 deaths in the previous 9 days, then Boris chipping in with the same sh!t. I'd like to see them confronted with the specific evidence from these instances and asked to reappraise their position. All the twit from british cycling they had on 'for balance' could only whine about cycle training in schools. I don't write letters but letter writing is what I'm about to do. I suggest you have a listen.

I thought it was reasonably balanced. I think it was the disgust at Boris' comments that prompted the debate. He's been getting torn apart in the media.
The guy from British Cycling just sounded nervous. He wasn't the best spokesperson.
