Nobby Nic triple compound Evo 2.25, 70 miles use and its sidewall is ripped! Toptastic! Anyway, what's the consensus? Replace like for like as it was just bad luck or go for something completely different? I'd not even had a chance to get the feel of it and the Racing Ralph on the back as my first two rides were faffing with getting the bars, seatpost and fork set up so they were very stop/start affairs. I'm still not sure I've got the fork set at it's best but that's for another day.
Yes - "What tyre for...?"
Thanks
get a snake skin or alpinecross version, the EVO's are for riding in non-rocky terrain really.
UST EVO version here Steve - seems to cope well with Peak rock - suspect the sidewalls are stronger than non-UST version - not much help unless you want to go tubeless though - cheers James
I've been running NN/RR combos for a couple of years now without any problems, that said I'm quite light and don't live in a rocky area
my UST EVO's suffer from sidewall 'wear' on rocky terrain ๐
