[Closed] Are shimano front mechs compatible with Sram X7 shifter?

Trying to sort a mates bike out, or does he need to get another sram mech?

Pretty sure Sram and Shimano have the same pull ratio for front mechs (or used to)

I certainly used to use an X9 shifter with an XT mech.
