Other half has a full day course over there on Saturday, so thought I might go along and have a day on the bike if there's anywhere nearby worth a look? Course is 9-5 so got a fair bit of time, although don't want to drive miles and miles away.

Cheltenham has great riding; Leckhampton, Cranham etc. closer to Stratford is Oversley Wood, just off the A46 near Alcester. I was there last week for the first time in years (used to be my childhood riding haunt) and there's a good chunk of single track in there.
Just park in Alcester and ride there as thieves haunt the car park by the wood; personal experience of that one!
