[Closed] Anything better than this for £1500?

My mate is looking for a new full sus with a budget of around £1500. Does anyone know of anything better for the price?

It's a Vitus Sommet, looks like decent spec, though I don't know how good the fork is or what the equivalent fox/RS fork would be?

Only 1x10 too but should be an easy future upgrade.

Does he need 160mm travel? If 140/150mm is enough then the Escarpe VR is £1500 after BC discount currently, has a better spec.

Hmm, I did see the Escarpe but didn't even consider the BC discount so discounted it as an option!

I don't think he necessarily needs 160mm travel, I'm sure he's open to bikes with less but the Sommet seemed like the best bike for the budget.
