Anyone else tried this?
Was all that was in stock at lbs so thought I'd give it a go.
No matter how hard I try I'm still loosing air at a couple of points around the rim.
Tried using compressor at work to 60psi as suggested. The bead seated ok.
But just pass air And slowly deflate.
Have heard that Fenwicks doesn't work too well but no personal experience of using it . Get a ride done , that usually spreads the sealant properly and solves any leakage issues . If they still don't seal use Stans .
I used fenwick's when my lbs had no stan's in, I had been running stan's for almost two years before that (obviously changing the sealant occasionally) without any issue, I gave up on the fenwick's after three weeks and more messy trail side tube fittings than I care to count
I tried it , never really worked turned the Stans rim strip very soft and swelled up wouldn't go back on but now fit my 29er rims ๐ tyres where always sweating blue beads of fluid, had to stick some stans in to get a seal so had tyres that weighed a ton coated with the Fenwicks gunk, went back to stans with new tyres no problems at all.
Nope, I use caffee latex now.
I use it but it's so thick wouldn't go to where a hole was when you put it.to the bottom, so had few times had to put a tube in, literally watered it down 2 parts water 1 part sealant and seems to be fine. Can hear it sloshing around now.
Tried using it when I first went tubeless but after a few days the sidewalls were still leaking air and I had to pump the tyres up every day. Gave up and bought some Stans.
Stans have it good in fairness, shop I work in stocks Spesh and Fenwicks and now Stans after countless hours wasted trying to get the other two brands sealant to work! Stans all the way for me.
Got some because it was on sale in LBS - probably should have thought about that more!
Couldn't even get tyres to seal in the garage. It was so thick I think you would need to spread it across the tyre by hand to get it to work, and it seemed to have a _lot_ of ammonia in it which is not going to be good for tyres.
3/4 full bottle sat in my garage for anyone that would like it. Back to Stans and far less grief now.
3/4 of a bottle might just finish mine off! Up to about 250ml a wheel now.
Just checking it wasn't just me.
Sounds like I need to get hold of some stans.
Thanks
