Near Reading, theres a few in yellowpages, all look reasnoble, chargeing £40-£60 for stripping and coating. Any recomendations?

Also, burning off the remaining old paint, is 450deg C too high for a lugged & brazed steel frame, should I ask for it to be done by solvents instead?

I used Nationwide Coatings in Slough, did a very good job for me. Not a bik specific co, hence don't do fancy fade effects and stuff, and for a small job like mine they wouldn't get a specific colour in but gave me the chart, asked me to pick a few potentials, and then we settled on my first choice which they had in stock for a prior job anyway.

I don't exactly know how they prepped mine in advance but it hasn't fallen apart in 2 years since (and the coat is still holding up really well)

cheers, I'll give them a ring, they dont do burn offs so no worries about that.
