Would a chain case not just trap more crap next to the chain on an MTB? And make it harder to access for cleaning? They're intended more for shopping bikes to keep road spray off of drives that are seldom maintained...

I asked the very same question today on the thorn forums, seems to be a bit neither here nor there, rated as a good product and hard wearing a guy said he took his off to oil chain after 2k miles and it was unmarked inside, but another thinks although ok for offroad not any good for proper mountain biking. I'm still undecided tbh its a lot of cash for it not to work, but I like the idea ๐Ÿ˜‰ let me know if you decide to go for it

They are also just about fully enclosed and even after use in desert the chains were clean according to some of the big mile eaters
