I managed to trash the Force shifters on my cross bike last week, and am thinking about replacing my Hope V Twins with them rather than getting another set of Force. Any experiences? They look a bit odd I know.

My thought train would be, I've trashed my Force shifters and they are going to cost a bit to replace....
But think how spendy its going to be if I trash the same item that is also a hydraulic brake unit?

Oh BTW is the Hope V Twin jobie any good as I've only used Avid BB7R units

Good point, although based on my current pain levels, I really hope I don't do that again.

The Hope brakes work really well. No stronger than the BB7s, but lots of nice modulation which you don't get a lot of with the Avids, and I haven't had to fiddle with them once.

I much preferred the V-Twin to the BB7.

Easier to set up (incredibly easy) never rubs, squeals etc (except when you squeeze 'em of course), and beautifully progressive braking (very Hope) which is what I want on a bike that runs anything from 23mm to 2.5" rubber.
