Cracking ride around Rhayader today. Anyone else there today?

We saw lots of riders doing Clive Powell's challenge ride, but we just did our own thing. Couldn't believe how dry the trails were! Here are some of our pics:

I dought that Garreg will increase your average speed.

Might make you die laughing though.

I have done that descent in the past Singlespeedstu, but not in over a year. Mike and Muddypuddle left their 'bottle' at home unfortunately - Odd as Muddypuddle seems to think she's Steve Peat at the moment ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nice picks of my favourite welsh bothy on Flickr by the way. Have you done Nantsyddion over the valley too?

I have done that descent of SSS
[img] [/img] that was taken from standing on the outcrop you can see in his pic.
this is looking at the tricky bit [img] [/img] it doesn't look so bad from this view.
For some other pics look here

Brilliant wasn't it!!

We may have passed you going the other way on the tops by the fort. Took my lady for her 1st real MTB ride. Elan Valley trail then up and over at Craig Goch and the fort. Then uphill to descend the superb double track down to Rhayader.
