I'm heading there on Monday for a week. Intend to take either my road bike or gravel bike. Anyone ridden in that area (near Grasse in south east of France)? My preference is the gravel bike, but only if there are plenty of tracks, if I'll going to be tarmac bound I'll take the road bike. It is hard to tell from google maps/openstreetmap if what I can see is public or private.

Yes, I've done a few road rides around there. One coast road out to Saint Raphael from Cannes, and a couple up in the pre-Alps: one unto Theranc and Col de Bas and another from Canne upto Tanneron. All very nice rides..my first intro to road riding in the Alps. Really nice rides thought coast road was really busy with traffic. PM me if you want GPX files.
