I've just bought one from eBay for a bargain price, but annoyingly it doesn't come with the lip seals/o-ring that I suspect it should have!

Has anyone purchased one from LBS/wiggle etc, and can you confirm it should come with said seals!

Many thanks!!

So there should be an upper and lower seal then?
What's the raised bit? - do you mean raised as opposed to a completely flat seal?

Cheers!

yes, I have 2 of these and the road version so i'm pretty sure there are 2 black seals and they are not flat.

Thinking about it, they are raised on the outside with a lip to press over the crown race

....huh...?!

It's a nice headset that's half the weight of mine at the mo!
That 100g could be spent somewhere else you know - 100mls of coke zero perhaps??

Yeah - they seem OK and said just return it!

Annoying though - i'd have liked the 'proper thing' at that price!

That's the one Rich!

Annoyingly it's all there apart from the seals!
I know it'll work just fine, but for how long without seals.....

Do you reckon I could get them separately?

That's where I was originally aware there were problems, but actually emailed the seller prior to buying!
Here's the reply.....

HI,this has all the seals and is brand new,i am helping my friend who is away at the moment,i have just opened a box and there are washers/seals,if not happy you can gladly send back

Can't say I wasn't checking!

I'll prob send it back to be honest - too much faffing looking for the spare washers don't you think!

Anyhoo - Nutt - you fancy coming Dorset (pronounced "Dore-sart") way end of the month???

DrP

PS - i've stuck stickers on my laptop to be just like you...!

Well the weekend before Afan could just be a day trip?
Maybe bring the family - there's plenty to do here (that may be a lie....)
