Can't afford a snow bike but putting some larger tyres on might make it a bit easier this time, especially on the front as I have the clearance.

nextdaytyres.co.uk is usually pretty good.
Although I have some 2.7" High Rollers which might work for you?

I cycled about through the worst of last year with a shadey pair of schwalbe landranger 1.95s! I don't think you need bigger tyres, just learn to embrace the slippiness! 😀 (If it even snows/freezes bad this year, which i don't think it will)
