I'm tempted by one of their rear wheel builds for my ss, but am just wondering how they come up weight wise compared to the dia compe (which I also can't find the weight of anywhere) and halo / surly / on one options?

If anyone is able to help, I'd be ever so grateful.

You could try phoning them up and asking?

Don't know about weight, but I had a friend who had one and it was soooooo well made. I'd take a few extra grams to get the Goldtec if I were you if they were heavier.

Why don't you email Goldtec and ask?

i've had a Goldtec on a variety of SSCXs for over two years and it's been dragged through the worst conditions imaginable and it's still running as smooth as the day i bought it, not once have i worried about the weight

but that doesn't answer your question does it? sorry

Oh yeah - good idea! Will shoot them an email now.

It's good to hear such good things about them, they are pretty pricey but from what I've heard are good value long term...

I agree on a bit more weight being fine if they're super smooth, anyway, I'll see what they say. Though anymore comments on quality/experience etc, would still be very welcomed!

Cheers!

I did weigh mine when I got them (cos I'm sad like that) but I can't remember how heavy they were. They definitely feel chunky compared to say a Dura Ace or Miche track hub but the quality is incredible, the bearings are still as smooth as the day I got them after a year of commuting in all weathers.

Fantastic hubs, they'll last through several rims.
